If you have an internet connection, streaming music services let you access their vast music collections. Spotify, however, allows users to download songs for offline listening. Here’s how to remove your music from Macs and Windows computers.
what you’ll require
To download songs for offline listening, you must be a Spotify Premium user.
Additionally, Spotify for desktop only allows for playlist downloads in contrast to the mobile apps.
You must first save the playlist to your library.
How to Use Spotify Offline on Windows and Mac
Open the Spotify desktop application on a Mac or Windows 10 computer to get going. You must first decide the playlist you want to download.
The playlist has to be added to your library after that. Choose “Save to Your Library” by tapping the three-dot menu symbol.
It will show up with the “Download” toggle after you add it to your library. To start downloading the playlist, select it.
While the playlist is downloading, the Spotify app will display the message “Downloading…”. The toggle will display “Downloaded” after it is done.
This playlist is now playable even if your computer doesn’t have an internet connection.
How to Turn Off Spotify’s Internet Access
You may manually enter “Offline Mode” on Spotify if you’d like to.
Click the three dots in the top-left corner of Windows to open the menu.
Choosing File > Offline Mode.
On a Mac, select “Spotify” from the menu bar.
Spotify may be made offline by selecting “Offline Mode.”
All there is to it is that. Once more, it’s a hassle that this only functions with playlists that you’ve uploaded to your collection. You might include an album in a certain playlist if you just wish to download that one. The next time Wi-Fi is unavailable, you may still enjoy some music.
